About this tool
Unix time counts seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC. Most systems log it in seconds; JavaScript, Java and many databases use milliseconds. Values of eleven digits or more are treated as milliseconds, everything shorter as seconds, so you can paste either without thinking about it.
The output shows the same instant as seconds, milliseconds, ISO 8601, RFC 1123, your local time zone, a relative offset from now and the day of the year. Type a date on the right to go the other way. Link straight to a value with /tools/epoch?t=1700000000.
